Here comes the technical grown up stuff.

All images are shot in digital RAW on Nikon cameras and lenses. Images are processed on Powebook G4 Macs calibrated with 2.2 gamma profile. Images are finalised and delivered CDROM as JPEG files (please specify if you require other formats).

Images are optimised into two file sets: 300ppi CMYK colour managed for print and 72ppi sRGB colour managed for online.

I shoot in a 3:2 aspect ratio as standard (you can always request 5:4, 4:3 or other if needed). Images will be provided as 12×8″ for print usage and approx 800px widest dimension for online. Images for CD jackets, 7′/12′ covers or other bespoke artwork can be worked to your design requirement / template.

Images can be made available straight from shoot via ftp (depending on retouch time or design requirements.) Log in details will be supplied on completion of the shoot, otherwise images delivered on CDROM usually within 72 hours. Note – priority rushes need to be negotiated before shoot.

Bespoke printing

For bespoke printing requirements, I use a giclée print method with a rather fine  fine art printer (!) that produces exceptional quality limited and open edition prints.

Professionally produced giclée inkjet prints are much more expensive on a “per print” basis than the traditional four colour offset lithography (an unframed one-off 12 x 8″ print and proofing costing approx £65). This method of printing requires proofing with the printer to sign off the image and the substrate printed on.
